Welcome,

I’m Terry, traveling from North America. This site follows my journeys through places that lie in the shadows of history - sites of genocide, mass atrocities, places of unimaginable human suffering. Also within these dark places emerge stories of resistance, courage, compassion and sacrifice, reminding us that in the darkest places of human suffering, the light of reconciliation can be found.

Amongst all the horror I experienced a lot of beauty: the warmth of people (gratitude for taking an interest in their story), the richness of culture, and breathtaking landscapes reminding me wherever I go of Earths grace. 

Each country page includes the places I visited, some photos (not professional) and videos, brief reflections, and resources for learning more—books, documentaries, and other materials for deeper exploration. This is my small contribution. It's an ongoing project. Thank you for visiting.
