After about a 5 hour train ride from Lublin, I arrived in Krakow. It was evening and I was really excited to be there. I took an uber to my stay which was just steps from Rynek Glówny. I was in this area for a couple of days to explore the area and the castle. One evening I came upon a gathering of Poles and Ukrainians in celebration of their solidarity, beautiful live music, children, and a feeling of connection and humanity.
Then I walked over the bridge to my stay in the Podgórze district and began a few days of exploring the former ghetto, the old Jewish quarter in Kazimierz, Plazsow labor camp as well as Schindler's factory which is now an amazing museum that tells the story of what occurred during the Nazi occupation of Krakow.
In the suare I came upone a great celebration, Poles, and at least oen American, coming together A cellebration of Unity to show support for Ukraine.
